Centre Overview

Greenstead Community Centre sits in the heart of the Greenstead estate offering people a fantastic facility at a very reasonable price.

A registered charity and not run by any form of council, Greenstead Community Centre is self sufficient and relies heavily on the income generated through hall hire and the Filling Station Cafe. All money is put straight back into the Community Centre to enable us to build and improve the lives of our residents and surrounding areas.

Greenstead Community Centre is home to the popular Filling Station Cafe, which is named after the petrol station now home to the centre. The Filling Station Cafe is run totally by volunteers, members of the public offering their time and experience to help put something back into their community. Open Monday – Friday 9am till 5pm, serving refreshments and light meals. The Filling Station Cafe is the heart of the Community Centre, aimed to be a vibrant, buzzing and welcoming place to anyone that pops in.

The Greenstead Community Centre prides itself on a brilliant team of staff and volunteers who insure that every person is made to feel welcome and that everyone is given a chance.

The main hall is capable of holding over 200 people! perfect for that special family occasion or larger conference meeting.

The newly carpeted meeting room can hold 45 people and is fantastic for those smaller meetings.

With the added benefit of in-house catering, buffets can be booked in advance tailored to your individual needs, or attendees of your course can order from our Filling Station Menu.

Our aim is to ensure that your event runs as smoothly as possible and we are here to help.
